‘Design Insights’ is an interactive talk show at Loods6 in Amsterdam where designers, makers, and curious minds gather.
Loods6 is home to hundreds of prominent artist studios and distinctive creative entrepreneurs, as well as various restaurants and shops. Design Insights was launched as an accessible way to give young talent, students and creative makers the opportunity to gain and share knowledge. We believe in talent development, cross-pollination and connecting established names with new talents.
Design insights is a collaboration between Loods6 & Semester9, both have the common goal to give young creative, artistic and entrepreneurial talent a platform. Design Insights is curated by sculptor & designer Mik Bakker and produced by Pim Lamme. Design Insights is meant to be interactive, co-creative and a networking place.
Hosted and moderated by @marjoleinvan.z, guest speakers have included: @martemei – interdisciplinary designer with a poetic view on material and nature @willemvhooff – ceramicist bringing raw forms to life through intuition and craft @vito.boox – digital maker using technology to explore new design forms , Ollee Means - @olleemeans, Anna Aagaard Jensen - @aaajns and Satyendra Pakhalé - @satyendrapakhale
